I really only crochet in order to collect yarn

I love yarn, I love crocheting too, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the yarn.  Like most crocheters and knitters I’ve always had my stash, way back when it was mostly crochet cotton, I was very into doilies and snowflakes for a while.  Then I began adding some acrylic worsted weight, baby yarn, mostly this stash was made up of leftovers after I had created a project, not enough to make something, but too much to toss.  About 5 yrs ago I started noticing more and more of the novelty yarns and my stash began sprouting fancy fur and boucle and super bulky yarns, oh my.  But then 3 yrs ago, I had to give up most of my stash, I was moving to a new country and didn’t really have the room to bring all my stash.  I did figure out that skeins of fancy fur and fun fur were quite good for filling in odd corners when packing, so they got to come and be the seed to start my new stash.
